The Crew Behind The Promise
Piper—Chief Welcome Officer
Piper has never met a stranger—and she plans to keep it that way. Whether you have two legs or four, you’re getting a full welcome complete with excitement, affection and likely a few zoomies in the yard.
She’s smart, endlessly social and firmly believes every pillow belongs to her. When she’s not making new friends or keeping watch over her tortoise friend, Buttercup, you can find her living her best life—running full speed through the yard or claiming the coziest spot in the house.
At Piper’s Place, she sets the standard: Everyone is welcome, everyone is loved and no one leaves without feeling at home.
Lainey—Barketing Director
Lainey is the voice behind the brand—or at least she thinks she is. As Piper’s Place’s official Barketing Director, Lainey specializes in making sure nothing goes unnoticed. Whether it’s alerting the team to a passing squirrel, a delivery driver, or absolutely nothing at all, she takes pride in keeping everyone informed.
Behind the scenes, she’s all heart—loyal, engaged and fully invested in the day-to-day life of the crew. A true wiggle butt in every sense, Lainey greets the world with gentle excitement and a kindness that’s impossible to miss.
At Piper’s Place, she represents what we’re all about: Warm welcome, kind energy and making every pet feel right at home.
Spikey Spike—Director of Opinions
Spikey Spike has never been one to keep his thoughts to himself—around here, that’s exactly what makes him essential.
Spikey Spike may be the Director of Opinions, but he tends to keep them reserved for when they really matter. A quieter presence in the crew, he observes more than he reacts—taking in the rhythm of the home and the little changes that don’t go unnoticed. When he does have something to say, you can be sure it’s intentional.
With a touch of sass and a whole lot of heart, Spikey is deeply loyal to his people and happiest when he’s close by—preferably settled somewhere cozy. He brings steady, grounded energy to Piper’s Place, reminding us that not every voice has to be loud to be heard.
Buck—Director of Zoomies
As the newest member of the crew, Buck has made one thing clear—life is meant to be lived at full speed.
Full of energy and good-natured charm, Buck brings a playful, lighthearted spirit to Piper’s Place. Whether he’s racing through the yard, turning everyday moments into a game, or simply being his goofy self, he has a way of keeping everyone on their toes (and smiling because of it).
He’s still learning the ropes, but what he lacks in experience, he more than makes up for in enthusiasm. Every day is an adventure and Buck is always ready for it.
At Piper’s Place, he reminds us: Have fun, stay curious, and never pass up a chance to run just because you can.
Buttercup—Chief Slow Living Officer
Buttercup is the steady heart of the crew—and a masterclass in taking life at your own pace.
As Chief Slow Living Officer, he brings a calm, grounding presence to Piper’s Place. While the rest of the crew may be moving fast, Buttercup reminds everyone that there’s value in slowing down, soaking up the sun and enjoying the world one step at a time.
On his daily strolls, he’s never alone—Piper has made it her personal mission to serve as his loyal guardian, ensuring every adventure is safe and fully supervised. Together, they make an unlikely, but perfect team.
Gentle, steady and quietly captivating, Buttercup adds something special to the crew: A reminder that peace, patience and a little fresh air go a long way.
Jazzy—Chief Snack Timing Officer
Jazzy is our foster from Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary and is a seasoned professional in the art of routine management and precise snack timing.
As Chief Snack Timing Officer, she takes her role seriously—especially when it comes to breakfast and dinner schedules. You will not miss a meal on her watch. She makes sure everyone in the household is fully aware when it’s time to eat, whether they asked for the reminder or not.
At 11 years old, Jazzy carries herself like the respected senior she is. Most of her day is spent resting comfortably, supervising from her favorite cozy spots and conserving energy for the truly important moments, like food service announcements.
Small in size, but big in authority, she brings a steady, humorous presence to Piper’s Place and keeps everyone honest about what time it really is.
At the end of the day, Jazzy’s philosophy is simple: Rest hard, eat on time and never trust anyone who forgets breakfast.
The Judgement Committee
Lex, Tito, Chloe, Otis, Pancho and Lefty are our six rescue cats. Each with their own story and different backgrounds that make them uniquely special. They may have come from very different beginnings, but they’ve all found their way into one loving home where they now serve as our official judgment committee—quietly observing, occasionally approving and always keeping us in check. Please ask us about them. We love sharing their stories.
